The tallow we use comes from domestic highland cattle farms. We only use fat from pastured animals. Animals live species-typical lives, raising their offspring. Tallow is animal fat that is obtained from around the internal organs as a byproduct of slaughter. This raw material is a waste product and would otherwise end up in the trash.

Sebum creams are suitable for use on the face, hands and the whole body.

A really small amount of sebum cream is needed for the face and it depends on the skin type, whether it is more suitable as a night cream or also for day use.

Try the sebum cream also for dry heels and as a hand cream. Even as a whole body cream, tallow is unbeatable and does not need to be applied often.

Tallow has a mild, characteristic scent that smells slightly different to everyone's nose. Some people smell a barn-like smell in pure tallow, while others smell vanilla.

Note! The rancid smell is not a characteristic of tallow and often comes from refined tallow (purified with water at high temperature). Kolme Cosmetics uses a gentler method and you will notice it in the quality and smell of the tallow. The purification method also affects the preservation of vitamins.

Fragrance differences between different sebum creams:

Mummy's Tallow Cream
Vanilla and oat scent. No added fragrances.

Taivaha Winter Cream
Fresh herbal scent. Contains moderate amounts of rosemary, lavender and ylang ylang essential oils.

Talikeijo
A mild resin scent mixed with the characteristic scent of tallow.

Smoothing Face Balm
This one doesn't smell like tallow, but rather vanilla and frankincense extracts.

The cream should be stored at room temperature, protected from light. During the summer heat, the cream can also be stored in the refrigerator. Temperatures above 35 degrees may change the texture of the cream, but it is still usable.

Tallow is a fat with a very matte surface and it is quickly absorbed into the skin. You only need a very small amount of sebum at a time. Of course, too much remains on the surface of the skin.

It largely depends on the characteristics of the skin whether the oil cream is better for you as a night or day cream. You'll find out by trying.

Sebum does not support the skin. Sebum has a fat profile close to the skin's own skin fat, i.e. sebum, and rather has a balancing effect on sebum production.

Always apply the sebum cream on clean skin and use face water underneath, it helps the sebum cream to be absorbed more effectively.
