This raw material unexpectedly turned a chunky shampoo into a super-volume shampoo

Tämä raaka-aine teki palashampoosta yllättäen super-volyymishampoon

Kalme Cosmetics Calendula + Citrus Split Shampoo actually became a volumizing shampoo by accident. When testing recipes, the annatto seed, which brings color, brought a surprising and welcome feature to the shampoo. It makes the hair wonderfully bouncy and airy!

Calendula+Citrus Palashampoo's ingredients are a treat for the hair

Kehäkukka+ Citrus shampoo is specially designed for fine Finnish hair and its main ingredient is domestic rapeseed oil. It minimizes soap residues remaining on the surface of the hair. Organic coconut oil together with castor oil guarantees a rich and cleansing foam for the pieces. White premium-quality kaolin clay cleans hair and scalp and gently exfoliates dead skin cells.

Palashampoo's marigolds have been grown in their own yard and no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers have been used in their cultivation. The flowers are extracted and finally pureed into a piece of shampoo dough. You may see little marigold petals in the pods. Calendula is a skin-care and soothing herb and has a long history in folk healing as a skin-regenerating herb.

A surprising ingredient! Annatto seed together with calendula gives this bar shampoo a beautiful golden yellow color. The beautiful color of this antioxidant seed comes from carotenoids, also known from carrots. Annatto seed is also widely used as a spice and has a special property of bringing volume and thickness to the hair. This surprising feature emerged during the company's initial stages while developing recipes. Many people suffering from frizzy hair have been very satisfied with this discovery. Annatto seed may also have antimicrobial properties and may prevent the growth of some fungi and bacteria. Read more about the study here .

No synthetic fragrances are used in Calendula piece shampoo and the citrusy floral scent comes from 100% essential oils (lavender, lemon, lychee).

5 advantages of using a soap-based bar shampoo

  1. Does not contain sulfates or strong surfactants. Soap-based bar shampoo is made using the traditional soap making method. Its foaming and cleansing bubble structure is based on natural saponified vegetable oils. Sulfates are often too cleansing, especially for sensitive skin, and they may dry out the scalp and brittle hair too much.

  2. Extends the washing interval. Kolme Cosmetics bar shampoos wash the hair clean without drying the scalp. Dryness of the scalp often accelerates the activity of the sebaceous glands, as they try to balance the lost skin moisture. The hair then becomes greasy faster and the accelerated washing cycle is complete. Our shampoo bars also contain moisturizing D-panthenol, which moisturizes the hair and scalp and acts as a smoothing conditioner in itself.

  3. They give fluffiness to the hair. The soap-based bar shampoo leaves the hair with hold and the hair becomes more manageable. Many people suffering from electrical and hair that goes along the head have received help from our piece shampoos. Mildly basic shampoo also often brings out the hair's own flexibility, and spiky straight lines may turn into bouncy waves for many. The annatto seed in the Calendula+ Citrus shampoo gives extra volume to the hair, which is why it is one of our best-selling shampoos.

  4. Helps with itching and dandruff. There are different hair types and scalps and not all products are suitable for everyone. For many people, synthetic chunky shampoos work well for the hair, but cause intense itching on the scalp. Soap-based shampoos are often criticized because of their alkalinity, but for many, just the mild alkalinity has cured many scalp problems. Especially those with itchy and flaky scalp should try soap-based shampoos.

  5. Also gentler on the skin When you take a shower, the hair and scalp are by no means the only ones affected by the shampoo. When washing the hair, the shampoo often runs down the back and takes moisture from the skin along with it. For many, switching from a shampoo containing strong surfactants to a milder one has helped to revive stubborn back acne and dry skin. Soap-based bar shampoo is often a gentler option for the skin.
